Kingyo Used Books by Seimu Yoshizaki

“There are two kinds of manga: those that I have read and those that I have not read,” so says a character in “Kingyo Used Books” by Seimu Yoshizaki. After going through the entire English collection, may I have my own take on that line: “There are two kinds of manga: those that I have read and those that I have read not wishing it would end.” “Kingyo Used Books” falls in the latter category. Well, its Japanese version is still ongoing but the English translation has.Anyway, “Kingyo” is about an obscure used manga book store that seems to have an effect on people who walk in. They either remember their love for it when they were young and innocent or they realize who they are after going through some manga comics. But either way, they are never the same again. But how can a mere comic book change lives? Well, pick one up and you’ll know the answer. I have.
